                                       Fabric panel 56”  (62”)  (84”) x 12”
                                       50" (74") (86") x 12" polyester fiber fill Covered Button
or Decorative Tack pin with push back closure

To Assemble:

Step 1: Align tops of both fabric panels laying the 12” wide panel on top of the 18” wide panel face down, center the polyester fiber fill starting at the top pull fabric over edge and over the channel, tuck the fabric in the channel using the long friction foam rope to secure.

Step 2:  Turn cornice around and tuck and secure only the 18” wide panel. Tuck in the short ends of the 18” wide panel only into the cornice using the shorter friction foam rope pieces in the same manner.

Step 3:  Turn the cornice front facing you and working with the 12” wide panel gather and drape to one corner making sure all cut edges are tucked under in the draped gather.  Secure with covered button or tack pin with push back closure by pushing pin through foam panel and securing in the back. Turn cornice to the side and gently pull friction foam rope away tuck draped panel into channel with the first panel and push the friction foam rope back securely in channel.

Step 4: Turn cornice to the other end and more loosely drape this side making sure all cut edges are tucked under and repeat tuck in channel and secure with friction foam rope. Be sure that on both ends of the panels drape from top of cornice to the bottom and are secured. Neatly fold the corners in, as you would do wrapping a package.

You have just created your own beautiful, elegant cornice easily and in less than a half an hour!

If you don’t think the fabric covering the cornice is tight enough, just gently pull a section of the friction foam rope out, pull fabric a little tighter and replace the friction foam rope. If you are not pleased with the angle of your drape disengage the pinch clip, slip the covered button out of the foam board and just re-arrange push through the same hole or move it to a more pleasing angle and re-attach. You can change the whole look of your room by using different fabrics, adornments, trims or create a whole different style and all using the same cornice over again.
